South Africa has been rocked by the news of the passing of Minister Jackson Mthembu. Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu passed away yesterday from COVID-related complications. It’s believed he had tested positive for Covid 19 on the 11 January after seeking medical attention for abdominal pain. In a statement, President Cyril Ramaphosa described Minister Mthembu as an “exemplary leader, an activist and life-long champion of freedom and democracy”.
