As the US starts a new chapter with the inauguration of Joe Biden as president tomorrow, historians and political commentators face a daunting task when it comes to assessing Donald Trump's presidency.
Many would agree that it was the final year of his presidency that really cemented Trump's legacy, mainly his failure to effectively respond to the pandemic, his first impeachement trial, his response to Black Live Matter protests, his challenging of the 2020 election results and of course the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol building. Tragically for him, he can no longer tweet again.
