Chaos at SASSA officers with reapplication of grants

There was chaos last week around the lapsing of the disability grants with hundreds of people queuing outside SASSA offices – with no social distancing insight. There was anger after police used water cannons to disperse some grant recipients outside the Bellville office. Social development minister Lindiwe Zulu visited some branches in Cape Town, where the bulk of the delays are at the moment.
