The burial space at the Johnstone road cemetery in Athlone has reached capacity and there is no space for Janazas. In a statement, the Vygieskraal Cemetery Board says in light of the increase in fatalities during the Covid19 pandemic, it is now filled to capacity and the public will be referred to other cemeteries. However, it can accommodate the re-opening of family graves with the official consent of a bona fide family members.
