WCED: No evidence of racism at Brackenfell High private party
Loading player...
The MEC for Education in the Western Cape, Debbie Schäfer, says she has received a report on the Department’s investigation into allegations of racism at the Brackenfell High School. The school was brought into the spotlight after complaints that it organized and held a whites-only matric dance. The complaints were followed by violent protests at the school. Schäfer says the report found that the event was organized by parents and it did not discriminate on the basis of race. She says the school has admitted that there are issues of race that need to be addressed at the school.
