The ANC Youth League in the Western Cape has warned it will protest the Israeli national rugby team should they arrive in Cape Town in mid-December. According to pro-Israeli media, the Israeli 7s side intends to travel to the SAS Rugby Academy in Stellenbosch to train with the Blitzbokke. In a press statement, the ANC Youth League called it "an unacceptable misuse of our sporting team" by Apartheid Israel. Provincial Chairperson Muhammad Khalid Sayed said not only will they be raising their concerns with the relevant bodies including the Minister of Sports but if needs be, they will be embarking on protest action.
