Eight-month-old Bonteheuwel baby dies from injuries sustained during beating by parents

The Bonteheuwel parents of an eight-month-old baby have been charged with murder after their son died at the hospital due to injuries allegedly sustained during a beating. Thirty-two-year-old Ricardo Lee Isaacs and his wife, Catherine, have appeared in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate's Court on Monday. Their son Levi was found with head and internal injuries, multiple bruises and bite marks on his body. Ward Councillor Angus McKenzie has condemned the incident. Police spokesman, FC van Wyk, said the case was adjourned until January 22 for a formal bail application.
