President Cyril Ramaphosa has today released a formal economic response plan to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The plan seeks to chart a growth path for South Africa's battered economy. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the economic damage as well as the health costs caused by coronavirus has left African countries needing $1.2tn over the next three years.
Jobs and family incomes have been lost in Africa, with the economic impact reversing the recent years of strong growth.
So how will this plan revive the economy ? On line is Senior Economist at Econometrix, Dr Azar Jammine.
