As we rapidly approach the peak of infections in South Africa, there are officially 381,798 positive Covid cases, with 208,144 recoveries and 5,368 deaths. SA's number of Covid cases per 100,000 people is growing at a higher rate than any other country in the world. However, as the global death toll continues to rise, our mortality rate remains one of the lowest.
