We look at how whiteness, male gaze and other factors contributed to the Lil Kim vs Foxy Brown AND Nicki Minaj vs Cardi feuds including how these women fell for the trap of Tokenism. My guest, Khanya Bonani, and I also discuss our own tokenism stories including the controversial diversity vs token hire.

I have decided to split this episode into two parts because our conversation was long and thoughtful. I want to give you time to reflect on some of the definitions and examples we go through in this conversation.
