TOUCHING 100 LIVES - LINDEN CHILDREN'S HOME
Loading player...
The Hot Cares team received a call from Bev, from the Linden Victim Support Unit at the Linden Police Station for assistance. Among other things, they work with homes in their area placing orphans into family environments with foster parents. One of their homes, that cares for eight children between the ages of 2 and 21 was robbed last week.
These homes are meant to offer a safe and loving environment for children who’ve already had a tough start in life and to be further hindered by crime is genuinely regretful. Moreover, because they rely on public donations, they can’t replace these necessary goods all too easily.
Robbed of goods essential to the wonderful work they do, Hot Cares would like to purchase R18 000 worth of equipment (including a tv, computer and laptop) to allow the home to continue its efforts in our community.
