ActionSA will introduce legislation to abolish deputy ministers, require Parliament to ratify Cabinet appointments, cut ministerial perks, and tighten corruption laws. The party's caucus leader, Athol Trollip announced that they would introduce these private members' bills at a media briefing at Parliament, attended by the rest of the caucus and his party leader, Herman Mashaba. Trollip emphasised that ActionSA was non-aligned – it is not part of the government of national unity or "progressive caucus". Phemelo speaks to Trollip about their proposals.
