The Namibian media industry thrives predominantly on the contributions of freelancers, who often juggle multiple roles to sustain themselves. However, amidst an economic downturn, certain production houses stand accused of tardy or outright non-payment, inflicting psychological distress on workers and exacerbating issues such as anxiety and depression, occasionally leading to dire consequences like suicide.
