This is Part Three of our four-part series on Labour Broker workers’ rights, produced by Casual Workers Advice Office. In the previous two episodes, we looked at who labour broker workers are, the problems they face, and how they can access their rights.

In this episode, we will talk about how bosses have tried to get around the law, especially after 2018 when the Constitutional Court ruled that after three months the labour broker worker becomes a permanent worker of the client company and no longer works for the labour broker. We will also look at the difficulty that workers face to become permanent because of the weakness in the law, the anti-worker politics of the CCMA and problems with the Labour Court.
