About four per cent of Canadians have fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), which is more than Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome combined. The Canada FASD Conference is being held in Saskatoon this year, working to bring people from across the country together to network and educate about a lifelong disability that is underrecognized and under supported. Canada FASD Research Network executive director, Audrey McFarlane, who is also presenting at the conference, joins Gormley to share more about combining lived experiences with research and progress for people living with FASD.
