Award-nominated author Mark Winkler has told HOT1027 news he got the idea for his latest offering after a chance encounter with a 400-year-old pamphlet about a witch trial.

His novel "The Errors of Dr Browne" is up for this years fiction prize at the Sunday Times literary awards in partnership with Exclusive Books.

Using the voice of Dr Thomas Browne , Winkler delves into one of the last witch trials in England, taking us back in time, while putting present day issues under the microscope.
