Bioscope Brah - Amy Dirks Cars

Hello Everybody! You know here at Bioscope Brasse HQ we've been threatening to evolve our show for awhile. Most of the time we don't follow through, but this time we actually went and evolved! Welcome to "Lammin' (chilling) with the Brasse" and who better to lam with than the awesome and absolutely hilarious Amy Dirks! We sit down with our new bra (who doesn't actually watch movies) and talk about all the things that matter. This includes but is not limited to: The mispronunciation of her real name and the origin of her Instagram name (8 "e's" were already taken). We chat about what inspires the material she puts out, how she's handling the fame that comes with releasing her social media content, the code-switching phenomena, as well as the challenges she faces with playing the characters she's created. We get some great advice on the power of affirmation (recognise your inner coolness!) and reminisce about the soapies our grandparents made us watch. We even manage to squeeze in career advice as Amy shares some behind the scenes secrets from the sets she's been on and tells us about her next steps. This is a movie podcast though so we find time to talk about Amy's favourite movie, Cars.The Cars world is weird, wacky and very "wooooow", so hop on in and buckle up while we take the scenic route to talk all about it!
