#LocalGovernmentAuditOutcomes-The state of SA municipalities

The Auditor General Tsakane Maluleke has revealed that the number of municipalities which obtained clean audits dropped in the financial year 2021/2022. 38 out of 257 municipalities received clean audits, down from 41 in the previous year. In Limpopo it is only Capricorn and Waterberg district municipalities that have received clean audit outcomes. Nghamula Chauke spoke to the Head of Provincial Audit from the AG's office Mabatho Sedikela who highlighted the challenges faced by municipalities across the country.
