The world's girls are at serious risk, aggravated after Covid

With the world having celebrated the Day of the Girl Child, it is noted that the number of girls at risk of child marriage over the next 10 years has increased to 110 million due to the Covid pandemic. This number has increased from 100 million due to pandemic-related poverty and education disruptions. Kakuna Venokulavo, Adolescent and Sexual Reproductive Health Officer of the UNFPA touched on some of the problems faced by the girl child.
