Mental health is a concern locally

The United Nations' International Children's Emergency Fund says 65 percent of young people in South Africa struggling with mental health-related issues did not ask for help in 2021. Unicef says the Covid-19 pandemic has created a global mental health crisis, leading to disruptions in mental health services and a widening gap in treatment. The Executive Director in the Ministry of Health, Ben Nangombe spoke to In the Newsroom and said mental health is a concern.
