Episode 23 Tsakani Maluleke #WisdomPersonified Conversations with Dudu Msomi

Our guest in this episode is Tsakani Maluleke, the first woman to be appointed Deputy Auditor-General since the existence of the Office of the AG in South Africa.

You are first struck by her beauty. The stereotypical tall, dark and beautiful kind. Then unarmed by her genuine warmth, intelligence and grounded-ness. An intoxicating combination.
I keep telling her I love her surname – Maluleke. I don’t care who sweeps her off her feet next. How charming he is. She must never change her surname again. 😂😂😂
Our Deputy-Auditor General, Tsakani Maluleke was inspired to join the Chartered Accounting profession to challenge the underlying unsaid stereotypes and to upset the stats that reflected a low number of African people not passing the final chartered accountancy exam the first time round. Don’t tell her she cannot do something. That provides fuel to her ambitions and impact.
Tsakani takes the Code of Professional Conduct for auditors to heart. Her passion and true appreciation of what it means to be a public servant inspires her ambition to facilitate the rebuilding of public confidence and trust in government and the auditing profession.
There are many more layers to peel off this inspirational woman. Be inspired by the first instalment of her Wisdom with the hope of much more to come from her in the future.
Happy Spring in the Southern Hemisphere!
