Khomas is offering free fire training this week

The Khomas Regional Council is offering free one-day firefighting training for Windhoek's rural areas and residents this week, starting today and ending on Thursday. The training is offered by the Windhoek Fire Brigade. They are also inviting farmers and their employees in the region to attend the training. Last week veld fires around Windhoek ravaged 2 000 hectares of land around Avis Dam. Fire season is only just starting and great care needs to be taken.
