The United Kingdom, Belgium and Finland have banned the import of certain hunting trophies into their countries. France and the Netherlands have previously introduced all these bans. The Namibian Environment Minister, Pohamba Shifeta, has spoken about how trophy hunting contributes to the livelihood of rural communities and the national economy.
