
Collard on keeping food on the table in these trying times

Food prices have seen a steep increase, with staples shooting up sharply. There are concerns about a global shortage of wheat, in particular in a country such as Namibia, which is compounded by the rising cost of fertiliser and energy. Food export bans or serious disruptions have included those from India (wheat), Ukraine (wheat, oats and sugar,) and Indonesia (palm oil). Rice could be next in line.
