Poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai was one of many who expressed her dismay at a video clip of dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu dancing at a gig with her traditional beads on.
Zodwa has openly accepted and embraced her ancestral calling and has taken to social media to share every step of her journey.
TshisaLIVE caught up with Ntsiki, who said seeing video images like that of somebody who has taken a spiritual covenant should spark an uproar. According to Ntsiki, those who brought African spirtuality into disrepute should be fined.
