The newly established Beef Value Chain forum aims to create a sustainable, profitable beef value chain by processing meat products before export. The establishment of this forum has put the spotlight firmly on exports and quotas. Only 25 percent of all cattle marketed were slaughtered at export abattoirs in 2021.
