Preparing for the Empty Nest

Did you know that among those aged 65 and older, the divorce rate has roughly tripled since 1990, and the reason for this spike is closely related to empty nest syndrome. Couples consciously choose to stay together until the children are out on their own and after that, they often realize that their marriage relationship is in such a bad state that they opt-out. We’d like to offer a few thoughts on how couples can be better prepared for the empty nest years.
