'Pitso's Job Was Never In Danger'

After a fantastic start to his Al Ahly career, fans of the club expressed anger towards Pitso Mosimane after the African champions failed to be crowned domestic champions for the 6th consecutive year after fierce rivals Zamalek FC defeated Al Entang Al Harby 2-0 to become champions. After Pitso and Al Ahly received abuse from fans, club president Mahmoud El Khatib, has defended the South African-born coach, as well as the staff and management team. "We fully trust coach Pitso Mosimane, captain Sayed Abdelhafiz, and our coaching, medical, administrative staffs," he said, according to the club's social media platforms.
"You deserve to be honoured for what you did in the last period and we are working on that."
