The #OnTheGoBreakfast team, DJ Complexion and Mpho Mashita had this conversation with David Maimela, after News reports indicated that at the last ANC NEC, President Cyril Ramaphosa proposed for an overhaul of the ANC’s mayoral selection process.

In his NEC address, Ramaphosa raised concerns about how only a third of municipal councillors have a post-matric qualification, saying that one of the key problems in local government is human capital. He introduced interviews for short-listed candidate and choosing leaders with post-matric skills.
