In a long, distinguished career, Malcolm has served as the Artistic Director of the Market Theatre in Johannesburg, he formed the Junction Avenue Theatre Company and he is heavily involved with AFDA as researcher on Syllabus development and writer in residence. He has directed and written many famous productions, perhaps the most famous of which was Sophiatown.
